At least four Yemeni policemen were killed in a bomb blast Wednesday in the southern city of Aden, where al-Qaeda is active.

A security official said six other officers were also injured.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack, but the Daesh Takfiri terrorists and al-Qaeda militants have been active in southern Yemen.

On July 15, three companions of Aden’s governorو Aidarus al-Zubaidiو were injured when his convoy was hit by a bomb attack claimed by al-Qaeda.

The terrorists also carried out two blasts that claimed the lives of 11 people in two of their former strongholds in the southeast on July 18.

Over the past months, the al-Qaeda militants have exploited the conflict in Yemen and the Saudi campaign, which was launched to crush the Houthi Ansarullah movement and reinstate the resigned Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

The Arabian Peninsula’s impoverished country has seen almost daily airstrikes by Saudi Arabia since late March 2015, with internal sources putting the toll from the bloody aggression at about 10,000.
