The US House of Representatives on Friday approved a law on a huge military budget . It exceeds the budget of last year, and increases spending on the missile defense system.

The US Congress approves a huge military budget of $ 700 billion

The budget sets the policy of the army and authorized the Ministry of War to spend up to 696 billion dollars. The budget was voted and backed by 344 votes to 81 opposite voice .

The law project faces other hurdles before it becomes law, especially military spending increases to more than last year’s level of $ 619 billion, which is prohibited under the restrictions imposed by the Budget Control Act of 2011 on government spending.

Trump wants to increase military spending by cutting non-military spending. Republicans have a majority in both houses of Congress, but they need support for Senate Democrats who resisted Trump’s plans to change spending plans.

The new law budget increases the missile defense by 25 percent , including 2.4 percent increase in soldiers’ salaries, the largest in eight years.

The Senate will vote on its version of the new law later this year. The two copies of the law must be valid between the two houses before send it to the white house to be signed by Trump to accept it or reject it  .
